catch up...& its all out of order!

We went to my grandparents last night to visit and ended up taking them out to dinner. Papa isn't doing too great so it was a special treat to get out of the house. Hubby is getting lots of practice being a "grease monkey". Friday they were helping me...she sat in my car with 2 sleepy kids while I ran into Walmart & he sat in theirs with the dog. When I came out he had the hood up and a belt was broken. I loaded them up and brought them home with us and hubby came to the rescue. Home from work and to the WM parking lot to replace a belt. Thank goodness one of his buddies showed up to help or it might have been a long night. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful father for my kids & husband.
Sister was thrilled to be at tennis camp at 8:30 this morning. We all were ;) Next week its swimming lessons!

He was mad because he wanted Speck off the wakeboard so he could swim. It stinks to be the little brother!

Getting better (& braver) with each outing.

Last week we did a big "no-no" around our house...went swimming on a game day. A friend called and asked if we wanted to go to the water park so mom kept sis and I took the boys.
(but they both won so maybe we should keep it up)

I even went down the slides with them! They were so excited I got in the water & just don't understand why I won't do it at the lake. I did sit on the back board and put my feet in this weekend, but I would just be a hazard if I went any further!

& a great big THANK YOU to SW for my wonderful new pics!!!

And I need opinions please. I was accepted to 2 different nursing programs to finish my MSN.
Program A: must have 1,000 clinical work hours within last 12 months. This means I would have to go back to work 3 nights a week when school starts and work at least until Christmas then start the program in January. But if I quit after 4 months that doesn't look too good on a resume so I should really stay.
Program B: no clinical work hours required. But, I have started this process before & have 44 hours toward the degree. This program won't accept any of them so I lose the time & $ I have already put in to it. And it would add about 1 1/2 years by the time I re-did it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am at a total loss.

Fun in the sun

A very happy little boy since he could get in the water this time!

She was ready to go ( we weren't on the water yet...no lifejacket:) When we pulled down on the ramp she was making all kinds of noises & was so excited about the water and other boats
For those of you that know him... She was stomping her foot and instead of correcting her he said "OK brown eyes, come here" & he gave in and let her help. WHAT?!
Driving was way too much work. She slept like this for about an hour
He wanted to do it so bad, but just couldn't get brave enough to get that far from the boat. At least I know he is afraid of something!
What its all about...those cute smiles
This was his first time up this year. He did it ALL day long and is so sore. Actually got a little air a few times and only "busted" once.

Thursday already?

Where has this week gone? Oh yea, baseball camp, dr appt,& for now no more cast! dentist appt,& I have a cavity:( pool party, & baseball games. I think we were less busy before summer!
We have been "lucky" enough to get the 5:30 games this week. The time is nice but the heat, Ugh!
Almost forgot to touch home plate!

Trying to stay cool. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to shed all your clothes whenever you needed to? & be able to get away with that figure?!

Bikini Body!!
Thanks HG for a great time. & as usual everything looked beautiful! I'm thinking you need to go shopping with me one day soon;)

Poor baby was worn out. She slept from 2:30 -6:15...& I had to wake her up.

Little man is MAD. He just isn't big enough to drive yet...at least thats what we tell him. I just don't trust him :)

This was my grandpa's truck. A few months ago he realized he wasn't going to be able to drive anymore. So he gave it to Speck. Hubby has worked & worked (& still lots to go) He wants to get it "done" before something happens to Papa.

He says he is turning into a grease monkey. I think he's a pretty cute one though!

Friends, Food & Fun!

The "smartest" of the bunch..inside under the air
Some of the little ones playing with blocks

The youngest visitor getting passed around (3 weeks old...precious!)

trying to stay cool in the heat
Guess hubby was a good cook...not much left
lots of friends...45 adults I think

this pic doesn't do it justice...the yard was FULL of kiddos...36 to be exact!

my boys are already asking when it will be time to do it again! Kind of a shame turkey season is only once a year.

Sweetness

I woke up (too early) to a very sweet little voice..."mommy, I made you breakfast". Suddenly I was UP! Little man fixed waffles and yogurt & chocolate milk. Surprisingly it wasn't as big of a mess as you would expect. He was so proud of himself! And I forgot to mention that the tooth fairy had to make 2 stops here last week. He lost his second tooth the same day Speck had his pulled at the dentist.

Where to start?

Thursday morning was the awards ceremony. So proud of him! Then off to the dentist for a filling and got one pulled. He ended up wearing the "gas mask" for 50 minutes & had to have the pulse ox because he went so far out! About an hour after we left the dentist it was time for baseball...he still wasn't really all there & it was HOT so I was a little concerned. And what does his dad do? Let him pitch. WHAT? Needless to say he got caught a ball in the mouth, by the ump. Thank goodness he was still numb. It left the stitch marks from the baseball in his lip.
All of the before pics are on my phone. This little turkey was belly sliding on the bench in the duggout Friday night and ended up face first on the concrete floor. After a trip to the ER and some good old "super glue" he is fine. A little mad because it hampered his fun at the lake but other wise rotten as ever.

He did get to drive since he couldn't get wet.

Speck found a spot between 2 girls where he spent most of his day. Hmmm...
Sunday we went to the diamond mine & let them dig in the dirt.
They didn't think it would be so much work. But some of the other people there were so serious about it. They were funny to watch.

Monday we found a few friends and they got to play a while. Little man got to ride for a few minutes, very slow. I actually got on with him! But no pics, hubby said it didn't last long enough to get one ;)
For those who don't know, I am SCARED TO DEATH of the water. I never, ever get off the boat.
They even managed to catch a few fish. They baited them with slim jims.

No pics of sis. Nanaw offered to keep her and they were supposed to come down Sunday night or Monday morning but she didn't feel good last week and is still a little under the weather. We are going back to the Dr. today for bloody drainage from her right ear. Our insurance must love us!!
