official start to the summer

We left here around noon on Friday. (they were showing the house so hubby used that as his excuse to leave early:)) & headed to the lake. He had no intention of going out on the water that afternoon but 3 little monkeys convinced him otherwise. We pulled back in at 9:30 that night! Everybody slept in Sat morning but we were back at it by about 11. That time we were off the water by dark. Sun some friends joined us and the kids played until they passed out. Literally. Yesterday we stayed until about 5 then a quick change of clothes and a stop at the dairyette for milkshakes and french fries. We finally pulled in the driveway about 9 last night. 3 more days and we will do it all over again. Gotta love summertime!

Sis kept us entertained on the drive home. She loves to sing. She gets louder and louder each time she repeats the song. Hubby doesn't get to experience this on a daily basis so he kept looking at her and asking me if that was normal. Her brothers didn't appreciate it too much either. Both were tyring to sleep.  By the time we got home I had tears rolling down my cheeks from laughing at them so hard.

The house showing went well, at least we thought so. They came back 3 times over the weekend. Making it very difficult for my mom and a sweet friend who kept coming back to open blinds, adjust the air, and turn it all off again. The buyers did manage to make a mess though. Apparently they wanted to know if the dishwasher worked so they turned it on. I think they must have opened the door because the realtor called and they had water all over my kitchen. Mom came to check it out and all was fine. Anyway, after all the chaos they made an offer on the house down the street. O well. Eventually it will happen. I think!

countdown

So I have one that says he is going today for fun day and one that says he's not. & its opposite of who I thought it would be! If they don't stop fighting they will be enrolled in some sort of summer school. I'm sure I can find one somewhere. ;)

We got an offer on our house yesterday. We had a verbal one before but this is the first one in writing. I think they are NUTS. It was WAAAAAYYYYY less than what its listed for. And they want my living room furniture, washer & dryer, entire surround sound system, curtians & rods, & TV mounts "at no further cost to buyer". Basically everything we listed on the disclosure that we would be taking with us.   They did say I could have my bathroom mirrors if I replaced them with ones of equal value. Gee, how considerate. Not to mention they added  a 60 day waiting period before closing but want to take possession ASAP if the contract is signed. Uh, no. I am not moving out and moving back in if something goes wrong. We didn't even counter.

My shoulder is still giving me trouble. Seems like a little worse every day. The MRI showed no definitive tear so he started me on  7 days of a high dose steriod. And I am supposed to keep my arm in a sling/brace. Hubby says I am the most non compliant patient ever. I take the meds ok. I attempt to wear the brace, but not very successfully. So I try to keep it still. Its just a little difficult with 3 kiddos, piles of laundry & dishess. Dr. said he will make the decision Tues as to weather or not he will scope it. Great. Unfortunately if he says it has to be done I can't wait.  My school starts in Aug. too. This semester will be mostly computer & paper work. Next semester is hands on. & I have to have 2 of them. Hello summer.

Mother's day weekend
we rented a cabin
and hiked 3 miles
played outside

warmed up in the hot tub
at all hours of the day and night
& swam in the pool.
last week little man had to dress as his favorite book character.
my mother in law made this for my hubby when he was this age.
so he found the costume first and picked a book to go with it!
It was also this one's 11th birthday!
He skipped school and Sis and I took him to eat at
Shoguns for lunch.

11 days and counting

The number of days my oldest has left in elementary school. The number of days I have left of being able to get things done. But I am READY! (for the second one anyway)  We have been playing lots of baseball. Getting new pictures made by the wonderfully super talented SW. Getting myself ready to start back to school Aug 20. What.Was.I.Thinking?! Celebrating birthdays. The pics from which I still have to upload :/ Getting ready for lake season. Showing the house (in the middle of a birthday party) And a last minute trip for Mothers Day. One day I will have time to sit down and catch up on it all but until then, thats it in a nutshell.
